Newark, NJ – June 21 2010 – Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement Margarita Muñiz, and the City of Newark’s African
Commission in partnership with the Office of Community Engagement, United Way of Essex and West Hudson ACE and the
International Institute of New Jersey will host an “Information Forum for the African Community,” in the Municipal Council Chamber
at City Hall, at 920 Broad Street, on Wednesday, June 23, at 6 p.m.

This important and informative forum will educate local African immigrants about various types of services and assistance
available to them, including: Social Services, Immigration and Citizenship issues, Employment Training, and Individual and Family
Counseling.

WHO:             Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement Margarita Muñiz,
                   The City of Newark’s African Commission,
                   the United Way of Essex & East Hudson,
                   the International Institute of New Jersey and members of the African community.
